Ok, I’m back to talk about the second half of the Sunday morning games. I think we will have many questions answered this week. Can the Patriots get a firm grasp on yet another playoff season? Are the Falcons in deep trouble? Is Pittsburgh back? Let’s take a look at the rest of this morning’s games.
We are already in week 7 of the NFL. There are some great morning games to watch. Even some of the games that might not matter as much are worth a look—Green Bay at Miami comes to mind. Here’s my quick rundown on each of the NFL morning games.
Sports Betting - We hear it over and over. The NFL is full of parity and that’s a great thing. But, is the NFL really fully of parity? The short answer is no. The NFL now has a cluster of very good teams, a cluster of very bad teams, and a few still deciding which group they belong to. We are now approaching week 7 in the NFL. Most teams have played 6 of their 16 games and the night and day difference between teams is striking.
That was my feeling after watching the Monday night game between the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals. Saying the Bears didn’t deserve the win was the understatement of the century. Actually, neither team deserved anything. The Bears offense turned out a performance that would make even the Raiders offense laugh.
Football Online Betting - Ben Roethlisberger has started three games for the Steelers. Pittsburgh is 0-3 when he starts this season. Is Big Ben still hurt? Have we all been duped into thinking he was a great QB? The Steelers are 1-4 this season and in danger of falling off the playoff map. They are at home against the 2-2 Chiefs this weekend and they desperately need the win.
NFL Betting - The Baltimore Ravens came into Monday night’s game against the Denver Broncos as an undefeated team. They were 4-0 and riding high behind new QB Steve McNair. However, when Monday night’s game was over, the Ravens simply looked defeated. Have we given the Ravens too much credit too soon? Is this team in real trouble?
NFL Football Betting - Week 5 in the NFL wasn’t full of too many surprises. The teams expected to win did so. The T.O. affair in Philly that was hyped beyond belief went away with a fizzle. The Eagles not only won the game, but T.O. wasn’t a factor. What did happen was Owen blowing up on the sidelines. We all knew it would happen sooner or later. Today Owens came out blaming anyone and everyone for the Cowboys loss. Ah, the same ol’ Owens.
Football Betting - The Cleveland Browns finally destroyed the bagel in their win column last week and won their first game. The victory came courtesy of the Oakland Raiders who are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Many would argue that the Raiders are the worst period. This week they get a much tougher test as they roll in to Carolina to face the Panthers.
This game features a couple of good defenses going at it. Last week the Bills surprised the Vikings by beating them 17-12 in Buffalo. Meanwhile, the Bears crushed the Seattle Seahawks 37-6. The Seahawks were without the MVP of the league, Shaun Alexander, and they looked flat.
Earlier I ran down the morning NFL games. Now, let’s tackle the rest of the action this week. There are four afternoon games. The best by far will be the New England Patriots at the Cincinnati Bengals. Can the Bengals go 4-0 on the season or will the Patriots send them back to reality? The game of the week takes place tonight. The 3-0 Seattle Seahawks venture into Chicago to face the 3-0 Bears. This game is for NFC dominance.
