The Los Angeles Avengers will look to get their first win of the season when they travel to Orlando to face the Predators on Monday at 7 p.m.

The Avengers are 12-point dog in this contest and the under/over is 104.

Last week the Avengers gave it a good run against the San Jose SabreCats, but they fell just short and lost 66-58. The Predators opened up their season with an impressive win over the Tampa Bay Storm 52-27.

The Avengers are led by QB Sonny Cumbie who’s currently ranked 6th in the league. Last week he completed 62.5% of his passes and threw for 7 TDs and no interceptions. The Predators are led by their QB Shane Stafford. He also had a good week one.

I like the dog in this game. Getting 12 points with the Los Angeles Avengers seems like a steal. I just don’t see a 12-point disparity between these two teams. This AFL line appears to be largely based on how the Predators handled the Tampa Bay Storm. There’s little respect for the fact that the Avengers scored 58 points in their loss to the San Jose SabreCats.

While the Predators look to have a slightly better QB—at least so far in this young season—the Avengers appear to have better offensive components. I like the Avengers to win this one outright. Could they lose? Yes, but by 12 or more? I don’t think so.

We might have found an AFL line discrepancy with this one. A more appropriate betting line would have been the Predators as a favorite by 4-7. Either way, I’m betting online on the Los Angeles Avengers and happily taking my 12 points.

We’ve got a great week two Southern National Conference battle between the Austin Wranglers and the Georgia Force. The Wranglers are fresh off their week one shellacking of the Las Vegas Gladiators - 57-36. Last week the Force survived by beating the Rattlers 69-65.

The 2008 Super Bowl odds are out and now is a great time to start looking at them. These odds will change as the offseason progresses. There are some good values this year.
