The Philadelphia Eagles rolled past the San Francisco 49ers 38-24 on Sunday. The Eagles now move to 2-1 and are in first place in the NFC East. The 49ers gave it a good run, but are now 1-2. One critical play was when Gore, for San Francisco, fumbled around the goal line and it was run back 98 yards for an Eagles score. That one play resulted in a 14 point swing. Coincidentally, the 49ers lost by 14.

The Eagles opened up the preseason with a 16-10 loss to the Oakland Raiders. While preseason games don’t matter much, this one did. The Eagles were pleased by Donovan McNabb’s lone series. In that series, he went 3-3 in passing and led the team to score a TD. The drive featured the Eagle’s first team and showed that the Eagles are ready for business.

Winston Justice, a second round draft pick, has signed a four year deal with the Eagles. The deal was signed yesterday. The Eagles have done a very good job signing their talent. As of right now, only one selection remains unsigned and he’s expected to sign soon. Winston Justice is a huge tackle. He came from the winning program USC.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced today that they have signed their 5th round selected, Omar Gaither. They signed him to a four-year contract. Gaither plays the OLB position and he was the Eagles late 5th round selection—their second pick in that round. He was drafted 168th overall.

Offensive linemen are getting the respect they deserve lately and the Philadelphia Eagles are not about to lose one they feel is an anchor in the line. Shawn Andrews was approaching the free agency point, but he will never get there are the Eagles made him an offer he could not refuse. Eagles and Andrews agreed on a seven-year extension, which could be worth up to $40 million.
