The other day we reported about a growing situation with Marhsall Faulkâ€™s knees. Well, you can consider it a done deal. Scott Linehan, the new St. Louis Rams coach, has confirmed that Marshall Faulk is going to undergo major knee surgery and be out for the entire season. Itâ€™s quite likely that this is the end of the line for Faulk. He had a good career, but itâ€™s time to head for greener pastures, like the announcerâ€™s booth.

Marshall Faulk is not sure if he will be a go for the 2006 season, which would be his 13th. His knees just arenâ€™t cooperating and he might have to throw in the towel and retire. If you remember, Faulk had surgery on both of his knees early this year. Itâ€™s quite possible that he needs more surgery. His agent, Rocky Arceneaux, said that playing this coming year is basically a â€œcoin toss.â€
