We are already in week 7 of the NFL. There are some great morning games to watch. Even some of the games that might not matter as much are worth a look—Green Bay at Miami comes to mind. Here’s my quick rundown on each of the NFL morning games.
Panthers at Bengals
What happened to the Bengals in Tampa Bay last week? Everyone is talking about the roughing the passer call that Tampa Bay got, but how about the poor play of the Bengals? Since starting 0-2 without Steve Smith, the Panthers have rattled off 4 straight wins. They are now 4-2 and speeding forward. This is a big game for both teams. A loss by the Bengals sends them to 3-3 and in serious doubt.
Pick: Bengals
Lions at Jets
The Lions are happy that the Tigers made it to the World Series. Now, no one is paying attention to how poor they are playing. They managed to grab their first victory last week—against a poor Bills team. This week they head to New York to face and up and down Jets team. Can the Jets finally win two games in a row?
Pick: Jets
Packers at Dolphins
Mr. 1-4 meet Mr. 1-5. Both of these teams are done for the season. The Dolphins tried changing up QBs, but still lost to the Jets last week. The Packers front office has to be praying that Favre will stop coming back. It could turn out to be a fun game to watch. The Packers are 0-6 in their last six games against the Dolphins in Miami. Let’s make it 0-7.
Pick: Dolphins
Jaguars at Texans
The Texans picked up their first win by beating a hopeless Miami team 17-15 last week. Can lighting strike twice? This week they face a tough 3-2 Jaguars team that’s coming off a bye week and looking for blood. The Texans have a few games later that could become wins, but they are looking at another losing season. Look for Jacksonville to play tough defense and ram the ball down the Texans throats.
Pick: Jaguars
