NFL Week 7 Morning Games Part Two

Ok, I’m back to talk about the second half of the Sunday morning games. I think we will have many questions answered this week. Can the Patriots get a firm grasp on yet another playoff season? Are the Falcons in deep trouble? Is Pittsburgh back? Let’s take a look at the rest of this morning’s games.

Patriots at Bills

This one has all the makings of a great game. These two teams are bitter rivals and the game is in Buffalo, which will give a much-needed boost to the Bills. They lost the first match up, which was in New England, 17-15 behind a stupid play by Losman that resulted in a safety for the Patriots. The Bills are 2-4 and need this game to have any hope of doing anything this season. This game is their season.

Pick: Bills

Eagles at Buccaneers

The Eagles were shown up at New Orleans last week. Despite losing, they really looked like the better team. I’m looking for them to come out firing this week. The Bucs finally got their first win behind poor play by the Bengals, a questionable roughing the passer call, and a favorable review on a TD. That’s a tall order of lucky charms to get a win and I don’t think any team can be that lucky twice in a row. They are at home, which will help some. The Eagles are a much better team—it’s that simple.

Pick: Eagles

Steelers at Falcons

The Steelers energized their fan base by destroying a crippled Chiefs team 45-7. Big Ben finally got off the snide and threw for a couple TDs. This week they get a team in the Falcons that’s much better. Still, the Falcons seem like a team that’s unsure of where they are going. They looked like garbage against the Giants last week and appear to be having trouble deciding what to do on offense. The Falcons are at home, but that probably won’t matter as long as Roethlisberger doesn’t throw 10 interceptions. The Steelers have beat the Falcons 13 of the last 15 times—including 6 of 7 in Atlanta.

Pick: Steelers

Chargers at Chiefs

Will this even be a game? Actually, it should since it’s in Kansas City. Mysterious things are known to happen there. There’s no doubt that the Chiefs play much better at home. The Chargers are 4-1 and looking like a playoff team. QB Rivers is playing very well. Even though this could be a tough game, I have to side with the better team—the Chargers.

Pick: Chargers
