Seattle Destroys New York

The Seattle Seahawks came to play yesterday. They wasted no time getting a comfortable lead against the struggling New York Giants. At the end of the first quarter the score was 21-0 Seattle and the game was pretty much over. While the final score was 42-30 Seattle, the game wasn’t this close. The Seahawks had a 42-3 going into the 4th quarter and stopped playing. The Giants scored some TDs in garbage time to make it slightly more respectable.

The Seahawks are now 3-0 and looking like a Super Bowl team. Matt Hasselbeck was 24 of 33 for 227 and five TDs. He also threw three interceptions. The first wasn’t one technically, but it was on the first play of the game and Seattle elected to not challenge. The last one was at the end of the game in garbage time. The Seahawks had 333 yards of total offense and made the most of each one.

The Giants looked like an over hyped team out there. Eli Manning made poor decisions. He looked good in garbage time again. After the game Jeremy Shockey said after the game, “We got outplayed and out coached. Write that one down.”

Next week the Seahawks visit the 3-0 Chicago Bears. The Giants have a bye.
