It’s been a poor start to the year for the Seattle Seahawks. They were expected to get off to a nice start, but they’re now at 0-2.
The Hawks last real receiver, Burleson, was lost for the season after the first week. Bobby Engram and Deion Branch are still out. So, the Seahawks went out and traded for Keary Colbert from the Denver Broncos for a draft pick (hope it was real, real late).
Who is Colbert? No, he doesn’t have a show on Comedy Central. Keary Colbert has done anything of value in his five years in the league. But, this is what the Seahawks have to resort to.
I wasn’t surprised by the 49ers covering this past week. The whole week I was talking to everyone I know about the -9 line for the Seahawks being ridiculous. Sadly, the Hawks lost the game outright.
They are hurting.
But here’s the good news. They play in the NFC West, which is perhaps the worst division in the NFL. Even a 0-3 start wouldn’t close out their season.
This week the Seahawks are -9.5 favorites at home against the Rams. Here we go again, potentially.
